I am very fortunate to have a wife who I love and loves me back. Together we've managed to co-create two incredible kids who we are very proud to call "ours". We love to call CrossWalk "home" - it's where life, love and other mysteries happen all the time - almost as if God were in the mix.

 

Community Care Pastor:

Darlene Valencia

I married my wonderful husband, Ted, in 1975. We have two grown children and between the two of them, they have blessed us with six wonderful, amazing grandchildren. I have been working at CrossWalk since the Fall of 2000. I'm constantly being challenged to explore new areas to serve God. Because I have accepted those challenges, I now have the wonderful privilege of helping to lead people toward a common focus that includes fulfilling the God-given purposes of Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, and Missions.

I have been doing financial work for churches for the past 25+ years.  I enjoy my work and try to stay current with any laws that affect church finances since these laws are different than any other place you can work.  I came to CrossWalk when I "retired" from financial work at another church.  I guess God was not finished with me yet, because the same day that I retired, CrossWalk called me and asked if I wanted a job - the rest is history.
