We base our faith upon the Word of God, the Bible. This Church receives the Scriptures as our only authority in matters of faith and practice. This places a responsibility upon the believer to study the Scriptures. It also means that we, as a Church, must grow in our familiarity with the Bible so that we might hold up the Truth of God's Word in our faith, in our lives and in our Church practices.

Having been led by the Spirit of God to profess faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and having been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, I do solemnly and joyfully affirm my covenant with God and with each other to:

Gather...because of Grace

We will strive to be a fellowship of concerned people where the lost may find Christ, sinners find pardon, seekers may find welcome and fellow Christians grow in the faith.

I will attend the assembly of the Church with regularity and will serve Christ in the fellowship of this congregation. We will seek to love one another, to remember one another in prayer, to share each other's joys, and to sustain each other in times of distress.

Bound together in a fellowship of faith with all who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, I will pray and labor for a spirit of unity among all Christians.

Grow...because of Grace

I will seek to be obedient to Christ in my daily living and to strive for attitudes and actions that will reflect the Holy Spirit working through me. I will avoid those experiences and habits which will harm the body and mind and hinder my witness.

We will be good examples for our children and train them in the principles of the Christian faith using the Bible and prayer and the Church as our sources of inspiration.

Believing that our call to be a Church is a call to witness in the world, I will seek to win others to faith in Christ; strive for justice, freedom, dignity and peace for all people; to be a minister of God's reconciling love at home, at work and in the world about me.

Give...because of Grace

I will give the Church of Jesus Christ priority above all institutions of human origin in keeping with the precedence Christ gave the Church.

I will serve Christ in the life of the Church as the Holy Spirit may guide me and give me the ability.

I will strive to honor God with material resources and support the church in appropriate ways.

In conclusion...

Acknowledging my human frailties and my continuing need of forgiveness, I seek the power of the Holy Spirit and commit my life to Jesus Christ and the mercy of Almighty God.
